Information Engineering

The School of Information Engineering was established in 1994 and is one of the six earliest schools/faculties founded in the college. Initially named the "Department of Information Management" at its establishment, it was renamed the "Department of Information Engineering" in 2012 and further renamed the "School of Information Engineering" in 2017.

Up to now, the school offers 7 undergraduate major: Computer Science and Technology, Software Engineering, Data Science and Big Data Technology, Internet of Things Engineering, Electronic Information Engineering, Intelligent Science and Technology, and Artificial Intelligence; 2 specialized-to-bachelor transition majors: Electronic Information Engineering (Specialized-to-Bachelor) and Software Engineering (Specialized-to-Bachelor); and 1 junior college major: Computer Application Technology.

The school holds 2 key disciplines at the Henan provincial level: Computer Application Technology and Software Engineering; 1 provincial brand major: Computer Science and Technology; 3 provincial financial funding projects**: Computer Science and Technology, Software Engineering; 1 characteristic development project for private colleges by the Henan Provincial Department of Education**: Electronic Information Engineering; 1 urgent and special needs major in Zhengzhou local colleges: Software Engineering; 1 strategic emerging major in Zhengzhou local colleges: Artificial Intelligence; 1 municipal famous teacher studio in Zhengzhou: Intelligent Technology Famous Teacher Studio; and 1 university-level key discipline: Pattern Recognition and Intelligent Systems. The Information Engineering Experimental Center serves as a Henan Provincial Experimental Teaching Demonstration Centerand a construction site for the Zhengzhou Municipal Demonstration Experimental Center, with 2 off-campus practice education bases for undergraduate students in Henan provincial colleges and universities.
