The School ofLiteratureand Law was independently established as a department in 2002 and was upgraded from a department to a school in 2017. Currently, it has five undergraduate majors, namely Law, Chinese Language and Literature, Journalism, Preschool Education, and Internet and New Media, as well as one junior college major in Preschool Education.

The school attaches great importance to the construction of quality projects. It now has one provincial-level brand major construction point for private universities (Law), one school-level key discipline construction point (Ancient Chinese Literature), two provincial-level first-class courses, one provincial-level online open high-quality course, and one provincial-level model course integrating ideological and political education.

During the "14th Five-Year Plan"period, under the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, the school adheres to the educational philosophy of the founder, adheres to one prerequisite, clarifies two major goals, highlights three key measures, consolidates four-dimensional support, and bases itself on the majors while facing the society. It continuously deepens teaching reforms, innovates teaching methods, and improves teaching quality.

The school focuses on cultivating high-quality applied talents with a solid foundation of professional basic knowledge, outstanding problem-solving abilities, and good comprehensive development potential. Many students have won honors such as "Self-improvement Star of Chinese College Students", the "Challenge Cup" competition, innovation competitions, and national scholarships. The Youth League Committee of the school has been awarded the title of "May 4th Red Flag Youth League Committee of Henan Province" for several times.

The school has been continuously strengthening cooperation between the university and local areas. It has established cooperative relationships with more than 40 industry units, implemented the integration of production and education, and carried out collaborative education. Currently, it has one 3Q Children's Business Industry College.
