Sixty Chinese people who have made an outstanding contribution to Henan Province were honored in October 2009, touching the Henan community.
In order to celebrate the 60thanniversary of the founding of P.R. China, Propaganda Department of the CPC Zhengzhou committee together with the committee research office collected more than 68 million votes for the finalists after launching a 4 month voting campaign.
Dr. Wang Guang Ya, founder of Shengda College, was selected for his contribution in the education area in Henan. The sixty finalists include world table tennis champion Deng Ya Ping and Opera master Chang Xiang Yu.
