On March 2nd, 2009, Mr. Yunlin Chen met with our Founder-Dr. Kwang-Ya Wang in Beijing. Currently, Mr. Chen is the President of ARATS (The Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Straits), and he was the Chairman of the Committee of Liaison with Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and Overseas Chinese at the Eleventh CPPCC National Conference.
During the meeting, President Chen expressed his admiration to the Founder for his devotion to education and foresight for building more than ten colleges across the straits. He also expressed his gratitude to the Founder for his contribution to the spreading of cultures across the straits and the exchange of education. President Chen gives the Founder high praise for building Shengda and Chenggong Colleges which have produced many excellent graduates whereby improving the state of his hometown.
At the end of the meeting, President Chen said that the Government is recognizing the contributions of Taiwanese to education in Mainland, China and can give more support and help with this goal. He hopes the Founder’s educational organizations can continue to grow and the Founder can make more contributions to the exchange of culture and education across the straits.
The Founder expressed his gratitude to President Chen and hopes that President Chen can give more support to Shengda College’s future development.
