In order to celebrate the 17th anniversary of Shengda College as well as enrich the extracurricular lives of teachers and students, the sports department along with the Youth League Committee held the Second Autumn Recreational Sports meet on October 19th, 20th and 21st.

The sports meet was divided into individual and group events, during which the students took part in on October 19th and 20th while the teachers participated on the last day. The individual events included 20 different competitions, such as fixed-point shooting, rope skipping, shuttlecock kicking and so on. Meanwhile, the group events included the wheelbarrow, three-legged race, kangaroo jump, and 7 other activities. A report showed that 1,344 students and 1,269 teachers took part in the event, exceeding the previous year’s numbers.

Worthy of mention is the teachers and staff event on October 21st. With the constant applauses and bravos of the audience, the whole sports field overflowed with enthusiasm. In particular, the spectacle of darts, double rope skipping and kangaroo jump were extremely magnificent. The players competed fiercely while the audience whooped excitedly, which demonstrated the spirit of the teachers and students of our school.

This Autumn Recreational Sports Meet was a success. It emphasized not only personal ability, but also teamwork. Teachers and students also had a chance to relax from their busy lifestyle. In addition, it promoted a harmonious campus and gave freshman a chance to blend into college life.

We look forward to an even more exciting event next year.
