---A Farewell Meeting to Exchange Students from Shengda College to Taiwan
On March 7th, Shengda held a farewell meeting for four teachers and twenty-eight students in the college’s Administration Building. They are part of the Student Exchange Project, formed in the end of 2010. Shengda had agreed to send an academic team under a contracted agreement to Taiwan’s Yuda University in mid-March.
During the meeting, Zhang Benqing, on behalf of his classmates, expressed hisheartfelt thanks to Shengda’s founder, Wang Kuang-ya, and other leaders of the college. He promised to make full use of the opportunity and live up to Shengda’s expectations. Afterwards, two teachers briefed the students for their upcoming trip to Taiwan.
The Vice-President of Shengda, Zhang Jin’an, expressed what he expected from these students. Firstly, he said that they should treasure this chance and study wholeheartedly. Secondly, the students must behave properly and leave with a good impression. Thirdly, he encouraged them to live life to the fullest. Finally, Mr. Zhang told the students to affirm their political stances.
Next, the College Stationed Director, Wang Shufang, shared her experiences in Taiwan and gave practical suggestions for life in Taiwan. Lastly, Mr. Cui Muyue, Shengda’s President, gave a closing speech emphasizing the importance of this golden chance and inspiring all teachers and students to strive for their dreams. The farewell meeting ended with a group photo.
