On November 8th, Sehan University in Korea held a special ceremony, awarded Honorary Doctorate in Education to Wang Xinqi, the Executive Director of our college.

At 2pm on the same day, to the majestic National Anthem of the People's Republic of China and the Republic of Korea national anthem, honorary doctorate award ceremony was officially kicked off. The Dean of the Graduate School of the Sehen University first read the recommendation which pointed out that Mr. Wang Xinqi was engaged in the work of higher education for many years. He had studied at the Doctoral Program of Educational Leadership and Management in Beijing Normal University, and the President of China Private Higher Education Institute. He has become the Director of Project Planning Department of Finance and Economics of Zhengzhou College and Director of Admissions and Employment Department of Zhengzhou Shengda University of Economic, Business & Management, Executive Director, etc. He is also the executive director of China Private Education Association, vice chairman of China Non-governmental University Sports Union, vice president of Henan Private Education Association, Henan Province, vice president of Private Education Research Association, Henan Province, the business sector vocational education school-enterprise cooperation, deputy director of the Steering Committee and other positions. Wang many times has been rated as leaders of the private education industry in Henan Province, private education advanced individuals of Henan, logistics and other advanced individuals, in view of Mr. Wang Xinqi’s contribution for education and the cultural exchanges of China and South Korea, solemnly recommended him as an honorary doctorate candidate for education.

Subsequently, Li Shengxun, the President of the Sehan University of South Korea (South Korea cabinet minister) awarded honorary doctorate education certificate and presented a commemorative plaque and degree certificate to Wang Xinqi. The degree certificate is that Mr. Wang Xinqi served as the Zhengzhou Shengda University of Economics, Business & Management Executive directors and other major positions, nurturing countless talents, contributing a lot to the development of human culture. The principal of the University hereby adopts the recommendation of the College Committee and grants him an honorary doctorate in education.

Then, the student representative presented flowers to Executive Director Wang Xinqi. President Li Shengxun made a speech. Mr. Li said that since the foundation of the university, only 22 honorary doctorates have been awarded, including Wang Xinqi, who is the only Chinese person among the 22 persons. Wang contributed a lot to the development of education and made many achievement. Today, approved by the Ministry of Education of Korea, Sehan University awarded the honorary doctorate of Director of Education to Wang Xinqi, which is praise of the University of South Korea and South Korea's Ministry of Education, but also Director Wang deserved the honour. He expressed the hope that Director Wang will continue to care for and support the development of education and contribute to the educational and cultural exchanges between China and Korea.

Finally, Executive Director Wang Xinqi addressed acknowledgments. He said that the honorary doctorate of Sehan University is the biggest affirmation from Sehan University and is his lifelong honour. This honour belongs not only to himself, but also to Zhengzhou Shengda College, and belongs to the teachers and students who contributed to the exchange of China and South Korea. Director Wang recalled the important contribution to promote the exchange between China and Korea, which made by Dr. Wang Guangya, the founder of Shengda College, and expressed the concern of cooperation of two universities from Wang Shufang, chairman of the board of Shengda. He said that under the leadership of Chairman Wang Shufang to push cooperation of Shengda and Sehan to a new height. Wang expressed his thanks to Sehan University and teachers and students in Sehan University, President Lee Seung-Hoon and the teachers and students of Johns Hopkins University. Wang expected that Sehan University and the University of Shengda have sincere cooperation, lasting friendship, and become prosperity and thriving.

Han University, full name of Sehan University, located in the port city of Mokpo, in Jeollanam-do of South Korean. It is an influential and well-known comprehensive university in south-western South Korea. It is equipped with humanities, social sciences, engineering, health, teacher and art department etc. Now it has 11 faculties, 50 majors, six graduate schools, and opened undergraduate, masters and doctoral courses. The University has established cooperative relations with universities in China such as Shanghai Normal University, Tianjin Normal University, Anhui Foreign Language College and Ningbo University.
