1. How can I do my banking?  Upon arrival, the Foreign Affairs Office and the Accounting Office will arrange a bank account in your name at the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC). You will be given a bankcard and every month, your salary will be directly deposited into your bank account. You can use your bankcard as an ATM card to withdraw money, or at store registers to make purchases. ICBC can only be used for transactions made within China. For international banking options, you will have to go through Bank of China. FAO can help you set-up a bank account with Bank of China if you so desire.
