Schooling and administration
The college combines Dr. Wang's 50 years of educational experiences with concrete practical situations, and forms a distinctive schooling style and administration system. We adopt systematic administration with quantitative evaluation emphasizing strict administration and warm-hearted, patient teaching. The college's principle is to encourage the students to ardently love our nation and fellowmen. Our goal is to cultivate intellectuals to be fully developed in morality, intelligence, and of well physical being, in adherence to Sheng-Da's precept: "be frugal, diligent, honest, and self-reliant". Our motto is for students to uphold the Sheng-Da spirit of "peacefulness, industriousness, politeness and tidiness." The college devotes great attention to ideological and political education while stress is particularly laid on students¡¯ hands-on capabilities and skills. The students are expected not only to master modern science and technology, but also to know how to conduct themselves in society. The undergraduates of Shengda have won widespread praise from nationwide employers, especially the foreign-funded enterprises. The college offers four kinds of scholarships available to students. Listed as follows:  (1) for freshman (2) for an excellent graduate who is eligible for taking a higher academic degree abroad  (3) for outstanding academic progress (4) for excellent academic achievement.  All these grants are for enhancing the students' morale and academic research. Of the four, both (3) and (4) are not limited by the number of applicants. An award of 8,000 Yuan will be offered to a student who applies for admission to Sheng-Da and has attained the minimum score necessary for matriculation to the state run schools. Once a year the college will select three persons who are the most academically and morally outstanding from among it's graduates and offer each of them a scholarship amounting to 21,000 US dollars, so that they might be able to study abroad.
